Before installing the PTFE hose, the pipeline system needs to be thoroughly cleaned to remove impurities, oil stains and burrs in the pipeline to prevent these debris from damaging the inner wall of the hose or affecting the sealing effect. At the same time, carefully check the appearance of the hose to ensure that it is free of damage, scratches or aging. In addition, it is necessary to prepare appropriate installation tools, such as wrenches, clamps, etc., as well as sealing materials, such as sealing rings, sealants, etc., according to the actual installation environment and requirements.
When installing the PTFE hose, be careful to avoid excessive bending or stretching. The bending radius of the hose should not be less than the specified minimum bending radius, otherwise it may cause damage to the internal structure of the hose, affect its performance and service life, and even cause leakage. When connecting the hose to the pipeline or equipment, use appropriate pipe fittings and ensure that the connection is firm. For example, when using threaded connection, pay attention to the matching and tightening strength of the thread to avoid over-tightening or over-loosening. At the same time, ensure that the hose is not affected by twisting force during installation to avoid internal stress concentration and leakage.
According to different use environments and media requirements, choosing the right sealing technology is the key to preventing leakage. Common sealing methods include mechanical seals, packing seals and sealing ring seals. For PTFE hose, sealing ring is more commonly used. Sealing rings are usually made of rubber or other elastic materials, with good sealing performance and corrosion resistance. When selecting sealing rings, choose the appropriate size and material according to the specifications of the hose and working pressure and other parameters to ensure the sealing effect.
When installing the sealing ring, make sure that it is installed in the correct position without distortion, deformation or damage. When installing the sealing ring into the sealing groove of the pipe or equipment, apply an appropriate amount of grease evenly to facilitate the installation of the sealing ring and prevent it from being damaged during installation. At the same time, pay attention to check the fit between the sealing ring and the sealing surface to ensure that there is no gap or foreign matter between the two. In addition, after the installation is completed, the sealing ring should be properly pre-tightened to ensure that it can provide good sealing performance in the working state.
In some occasions with high sealing requirements, in addition to using sealing rings, sealants can also be used as auxiliary sealing means. Sealant can fill the small gap between the sealing ring and the sealing surface to further improve the sealing performance. When using sealants, choose the appropriate sealant variety according to the material of the sealing surface and the characteristics of the working medium. When applying sealant, it should be applied evenly and in appropriate amounts to avoid excessive overflow of sealant, which will affect the appearance and normal operation of the pipeline system.
After installation, the PTFE hose system should be fully inspected, including the connection parts of the hose, the installation of the sealing ring, and the application effect of the sealant. After the inspection is correct, a pressure test is performed to check the sealing performance of the system. The pressure of the pressure test should be set according to the working pressure of the hose and relevant standards, generally about 1.5 times the working pressure. During the test, it is necessary to closely observe whether there is leakage in the hose and the sealing parts. If there is leakage, the cause should be found and repaired in time.
In order to ensure the long-term stable operation of the PTFE hose and avoid the risk of leakage, daily maintenance and care are also very important. Regularly check the appearance and connection parts of the hose. If there is wear, aging or looseness, it should be handled or replaced in time. At the same time, keep the environment around the hose clean to prevent it from being corroded and damaged by external factors. In addition, according to the use of the hose and the manufacturer's recommendations, the sealing ring and sealant should be checked and replaced regularly to ensure the reliability of the sealing performance.
